LifeSteps was created through personal experiences of working with families plan for their future security. During the past 15 years of working with families it became evident that one important element of the planning process was consistently overlooked. While most families have done some method of planning, such as creating a will or trust, purchasing insurance policies and establishing retirement programs, very few have adopted a system to organize and update this information.

Documents are lost and information becomes quickly outdated making it difficult to locate information or inform loved ones regarding specific requests. The result is that those we are planning for, including ourselves, may be delayed from using our well thought out plans simply from a lack of being prepared!

In an effort to find a solution to this problem, we developed the Living Family Journal.
